MEETING MINUTES FOR ARAGBA
March 13, 2005
BOARD MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE:
Mitch Carlson
Mike Pipenhagen
Dave Smith
Mike Hambleton
Officers for 2005-06:
Officers positions are March to March. Mitch Carlson was voted President. Barb Smith has joined the club and was
voted as Vice President Fundraising. Sue Waterman has joined the club and was voted as Secretary. This was Mike Hambleton's
last year as Treasurer. This position remains open and Mike will continue in this position for a month or two until this

The Assistant Tournament Director position remains open. There has been some interest in this position and hope to have
this position filled at next board meeting. Dave Smith was voted as Tryout/Equipment Director. Mike Thompson has stepped
down as a board member. He will continue in a non-board member capacity as the website manager.
Business:
Officers reviewed the Bylaws. A change in the Bylaws was voted regarding outside resources can be compensated at board discretion.
Said compensation cannot be made to a board member.
A rebate was distributed to a player who was unable to play this season due to injury and had paid for the registration fee.
How the girls traveling program can be a feeder program to the high school girls basketball program. At this time, there is no
booster club for the high school girl's basketball team so it makes this difficult. ARAGBA will try to do
Try to increase the information available to parents/girls for playing in the traveling basketball program. Possibly having a
girls traveling basketball table set up at each of the middle schools during open house with photos on posterboard, information sheet.
Overall, this year's traveling program went well between the coaches, players and parents.
Treasurer's Report:
Given the fact that we had two sites this year vs. four from last year for the basketball tournament in February, the tournament
stayed on task in revenue and expenses. Next year, the tournament will remain at two sites and held at Fred Moore Middle
School and Anoka High School.
Some outstanding fees still need to be paid from the tournament.
It is important to note that the fee for the traveling program is made affordable by hosting a basketball tournament which
keeps the costs down.
The $75.00 refundable check made out at registration night will be mailed out to respective parent/player, if worked at the tournament.
Meeting adjourned.
Next meeting Sunday, April 3, 2005 7:00 p.m. at Doolittles. All are welcome to attend. NOTE: It is important for the 2006-07 season
